Hi, I'm Luke Perisich
I was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1971.
I began my career in 1973.
Let Me Explain.
TRAIN A BOY IN THE WAY, HE SHOULD GO. EVEN WHEN HE GROWS OLD HE WILL NOT DEPART FROM IT.
THE EARLY DAYS
Somewhere we have a picture of me at the age of 2. Yeah, yeah, we all do. This one is different though. I’m tied with a rope to a chimney while my dad did roofing work. I wanted to be working right next to him. Around the same time I received my first nail pouch complete with a a wooden hammer. Yes, that is actually me in the picture you see here. I immediately started following my dad around chanting “Work ,work, work”. Yeah, I’m sure that didn’t get old… really fast.
Things picked up pace from there. I was quickly learning the trades. Around the age of 9 my dad taught me to use his 12″ Sears Craftsman Radial Arm Saw. Say what?! Yep. But hear me out. The first 8 years of my life he routinely hauled my butt up to Sutersville Lumber. There he made sure I had plenty of facetime (not Face Time) with “Lefty”. “Lefty” had removed most of the fingers from his left hand with a radial arm saw of similar vintage. To this day I can still see his hand, or what was left of it… Excellent lesson Dad.
I have immense awe and gratitude for my father allowing his young son to learn to use that beast of a machine. It was a couple of years before I finally was allowed to use the shaping bits you could put on the spindle end. Think wood chipper with no guard, shroud or safety bar. It was crazy loud and scary.
CAREER
Most summers and evenings through high school were spent working construction (with a little hunting, fishing and dirt bike riding in between). Picture jobs like re-roofing 3 story homes without fall protection, removing asbestos siding without a respirator, changing electrical services. Live electrical service. I cringe to think of my time cleaning chimneys on 3 story slate roofs, on the side of hills in November, in the freezing rain as it got darker and darker. “Chim, chimney, Chim, chim, cher-ee” was not for me. Whilst a senior in high school I started my own remodeling business. People hired me. Crazy I know. Today we can’t even hire kids to cut our lawn without breaking a child labor law. Let’s not get started on that topic… After getting married, very young (I still think my wife broke a law or two there somewhere), I moved to the “big city” of Erie, PA and started working in commercial construction. Framing third shift in Erie, in the winter, as a newlywed. Let the good times roll.
After years of development work, production homes and then custom homes along Lake Erie, we decided it was time for a change. Fast forward to North Carolina. We felt like we were finally home as we eventually settled in the South Brunswick Island area of beautiful North Carolina. We spent almost two decades there building some of the nicest homes for even nicer clients. As a residential/commercial builder we handled new projects, large and small, as well as major renovations, additions and upfits.
Enter the global pandemic. And upper middle age. In 2020 we decide to follow our hearts to the mountains of Western North Carolina. That was going to be no small feat relocating a successful custom home business. So if you are going to make a change, why not do it big time! We closed up shop on the coast and headed to the mountains. Now instead of building custom homes for awesome clients, I am focusing on helping awesome clients buy and sell real estate. As a North Carolina Real Estate Broker with over 30 years of construction experience, I admittedly offer a unique skill set to my clients. If you ever thought how great it would be to have a builder as your real estate broker… Here I am. Just be ready to laugh and have fun doing it. You’ll see.
BE TRUE TO YOUR WORK,
YOUR WORD,
YOUR FRIEND.
THE TIME IS ALWAYS RIGHT TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT.
Surround yourself with like-minded friends.
VOLUNTEER WORK
We also dedicate untold hours to volunteer work. This includes a variety of activities. Near and dear to our heart is the work we do building houses of worship, here and abroad. We also have been blessed to aid in several missions of disaster relief work. Most recently we’ve been able to dedicate our free time training other volunteers in the safe use and practice of a number of construction disciplines.
Currently we are helping coordinate the training efforts for hundreds in over a dozen different disciplines. These include supported scaffold installation, electrical safety, respirator use, fall protection, scissor and boom lift operation, confined space training as well as powder and gas actuated tool use, etc. Lock-Out/Tag-Out operations are second nature now. We routinely get to use several Hilti and Ramset tools. the 3M 7500 series respirator. Herc Equipment Rental has supplied us with a steady stream of JLG, SkyJack and Genie scissor lifts. Are we having fun? – Absolutely! Are we helping to keep our fellow man safe – We hope and pray so.
THE SPACE WITHIN BECOMES THE REALITY OF THE BUILDING
- Frank Lloyd Wright
During the last 35 years I’ve been fortunate enough to build beautiful buildings that became homes. And I’ve been even more blessed to build friendships. That is far surpassing in value.
BUY. SELL.
BUILD.
BUY
Do you want an advocate to guide you through the buying process? Not just keeping all the paperwork neat and organized. I mean things that an honest builder friend will point out to you. Over three decades in the business has equipped me with a unique set of skills. Let me use those skills to help you buy your next place.
SELL
You only get one chance to make a first impression. Over the years we have been fortunate enough to win numerous local and
state awards for our craftsmanship, features and design. How does that affect you? We learned a few things over the years about first impressions. I can help you make that first impression the best it can be.
BUILD
There are bajillion things to think about and do when deciding to build a home. I’ve built homes for clients who were states away and countries away. Successfully. Sometimes it’s nice to know you have a trusted friend to lean on and to bounce ideas off of. I can help in a variety of ways. Let’s talk about your unique situation.
Trust
“Whoever is careless with the truth in small matters cannot be trusted with important matters.” – Albert Einstein
You need to trust your broker. And your broker needs to trust you. If either of you don’t, then it’s time to find someone you do. Life is too short for anything else. I’ve built homes and handled client relationships, both long distance and short distance, for over 30 years now. Here are what just a few of my clients have to say about how I handled their assets and trust. I will do the same for you.
Kudos
A quick peak back at a couple of decades worth of working with awesome clients and trade partners.
It is true that Luke is newer to the real estate broker game than many long time agents. But, considering what clients have said about his attention to detail on custom homes over the last couple of decades, we think you’ll agree the future looks bright. And happy.
What follows is all the Google My Business reviews pulled straight from Google. I had truncated some of them when I posted them on my site.

From the very first day we met with Luke, we knew we had made the right decision. His attention to detail, concern for doing things the right way, and his attentiveness to our needs was extraordinary. In addition, the subcontractors that Luke uses are all exceptionally skilled people and very down to earth and friendly.
In summary, Luke is the consummate professional and also a very friendly, caring person. Not only am I proud to say he was the contractor on my home, but I am proud to say that while going through the home building experience with him, he has become my friend. read less

Our expectations for a quality build were high. Bottom line: we were absolutely delighted with the house.
In a project of this size, achieving perfection is a tall order. We are happy to say, the house met our expectations for quality construction and more importantly, livability. Carpentry, masonry, kitchen, painting, exterior and interior and all else, met or exceeded our demanding requirements. Quality is not free, but in every aspect of construction we got what we paid for. Read on if you want some details, or just know that you Luke will build a great house for you.
Some details backup our recommendation:
Luke was always very responsive to our concerns. He helped us fine tune our wishes and really get what we wanted. Importantly, when we moved in, he communicated a transfer of knowledge involving the house and its systems.
Our architect created 3D designs that were invaluable in helping us visualize what everything would look like, especially since we were 650 miles away most of the time during our home construction. Luke improved on the designs, making changes where required and giving us a clear idea of what will be delivered. In one case Luke designed a drop zone and in another, a unique setup for our animals. Both provide convenience and utility beyond our imagination. Naturally, the entire house was created in that vein. Dare we say, “A dream come true.”?
Our house contained some special features one might not normally encounter. Some examples of Luke’s assistance are included in this necessarily partial list of things he delivered to help us:
• To begin, Luke grew up with construction tools in hand, using them in a family business – not to mention his years of “hands on” building experience, project management and oversite ability
• Luke uses a tried and true project management tool to schedule resources and building materials at the tight time
• He consulted with plumbing, electrical and home automation professionals to identify our needs and make our living experience seamless
• He worked diligently to assist in solving a design issue. Because of one of our kitchen’s unique characteristics, an exhaust fan needed be installed to carry exhaust a distance to the exit – Luke provided the solution
• Driveway pavers required finding a subcontractor with the expertise to “get it right”. Luke delivered that right artisan to do the job
• An automated pergola required proper setup and easy owner access. The design is simple, effective and easy to operate
• Luke installed an out-of-the-way non-intrusive water filtering system – delivering purified water and less pure water for exterior use
• Luke understands acoustics and built a home theater that maximizes viewing and sound quality along with comfortable seating for viewers
• Even creating a garage that had proper organization and low maintenance flooring were considered and achieved.
In summary:
Having built a smart house meant that we had numerous initial questions about its detailed design and how things worked. Of great importance to us upon moving in: we never had to wonder where Luke was. He was always readily available and communicative either in person, by phone or email. And of paramount importance, Luke included subject matter experts when they were required; ever increasing his depth of knowledge about all aspects of his trade and more importantly, making sure we were satisfied. Perhaps the best reference we can present is this: Luke would be the person we would hire if we ever were to build another house. read less
